Technical team

The camera operator, is the person in charge of handling the camera in the filming.

Their job is to know the position of the camera movements with or without displacement and the correct use of the image.

The camera movements must be fluid and slow to avoid disturbing the viewer.

In the recordings the camera should always bear in mind the composition and Rule of thirds.

• CLAPPERBOARD: is a blackboard on which are written a series of data that identifies each of the outlets in which splits an audio-visual production. The data should contain are:

                                              - Videoclip title

                                              - Date

                                              - Sequence number

                                              - Shot number

                                             One member of the camera crew (the clapper loader) will put the slate in front of the camera and stored a few seconds before the shot.

Sing the Clapperboard: in filming with sound recording live, the person who handles the clapperboard remains on high bar articulated and, at the time when the camera starts rolling, reciting aloud the pins numbered sequence and shot. Then, with a quick motion, hitting the bar articulated against the upper edge of the clapperboard, making a dry noise (clack).

In post-production, the technician looking in the precise moment at which the bar hits the edge of the clapperboard. Similarly, the sound recording locates clack. The coincidence of both point enables you to synchronize the image and sound that were recorded separately.

We have to get and put the spotlight following the basic three-point lighting technique, that is to illuminate the object or characterilluminate the object or character with a key light, a backlight from above and a soft light filling from the side (fill light).


This technician will also playback sound, that is, puts the song in the background for the actors to perform synchronized lips with the letter.
