Foley

 

The foley effects look for recreate sounds that can not be collected at the main recording. It is used in film, but can also be used for radio.

For our episode, Foley should perform these functions:

Working with Digital Recorder:

  • Study the basic operation of the recorder.
  • Find and download sound effects and music necessary for the program (see rundown and script)
  • Search spaces and sound material to create the sound effects.
  • Make recordings of sound effects that do not find on the net and we need to acclimate the program (laughter, applause, encouragement, scams, steps ...)
  • Control the volume levels from the headphones.
  • Create audio tracks in .mp3
  • Create a folder on the computer with all the audio files that go to use (in mp3 format) organized by sections.

The foley effects look for recreate sounds that can not be collected at the main recording.

The name is due to Jack Foley, a professional who created many of the techniques now used to create sound effects.

Often this becomes a foley art development. It is not an easy process, as it requires much imagination for example to create the sound of a being that does not exist in the real world, or off a spaceship.
