Short Summary:
On 21st and 22nd February 2017, the European project SFATE (SMART FARMING TRAINING FOR EMPLOYMENT) was launched at the MUPEGA (Galician Pedagogical Museum) in Santiago de Compostela, within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA2 programme.
The project is coordinated by the Consellería de Cultura, Educación e Ordenación Universitaria (Galician Regional Ministry of Culture, Education and University Management) and 6 other partners from Spain, France, Germany and Slovenia participate in it.
The main objectives of SFATE are the following:
- Increase the knowledge and acquisition of skills on Smart Farming in Training Centers.
- Identify new smart farming employment opportunities.
- Disseminate smart farming knowledge among the general public so as to increase rural areas appeal.
Sfate is aimed at teachers, trainers, advisors, entrepreneurship advisors, students, farmers and young people in general, including those from non-agricultural areas.
