Before using a material in our projects we should know its properties

We are going to study the following properties of the materials:

  • HARDNESS: is a measure of its ability to withstand being scratched or cut.
  • STRENGTH: is a measure of how good a material is at resisting being misshapen, or deformed, when acted upon by a force.
  • ELASTICITY:is the ability of a material to resist a  deforming force and to return to its original size and shape when that  force is removed.
  • RIGIDITY:the property of a material to resist deformation
  • MALEABILITY:is the ability of a material to deform under pressure . If malleable, a material may be flattened into thin sheets.
  • DUCTILITY: is the property of a material wich allow to be elongated or streched
  • DENSITY: Is the ratio between mass and volume.
  • THERMAL PROPERTIES
  • ELECTRICAL  AND MAGNETIC PROPERTIES
  • OPTICAL PROPERTIES
