- informal and formal e-mails (writing to a friend vs applying for a job-also known as cover(ing) e-mail)
- letter/e-mail of complaint
- an essay giving pros & cons/advantages & disadvantages of a topic
- a blog post giving advice/telling an anecdote related to a topic
- an article giving your opinion on a topic
