It was our last meeting with the Slovenian students today. We could talk about some of our summer plans and favourites and then we played a kahoot with questions related to summer time.

We are happy we met them and we could use our English to communicate and share interesting things.

Now we want to wish them a HAPPY SUMMER

and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Today, Friday the 19^th of May 2023, we celebrated Os Maios at school and, thanks to our Foreign Language Assistant oldest Pre-Primary students could discover there are similar celebrations in the Philippines.

Apart from receiving more information about her culture, our Assistant showed pupils the Philippines’ traditional clothing and they received some interesting information about their most important festivals. She also introduced “jeepney”, which is the Philippines’ primary mode of transportation.

Students could colour a traditional jeepney. It was really interesting and funny!

Today we had such an amazing experience! We met our Slovenian friends via Zoom!

It was our first meeting and we enjoyed the moment a lot.

We played a kahoot they designed for us and we have to say it was really interesting!

We enjoyed the moment so much we are looking forward to meeting them again!

This year 5th graders enjoyed learning about Easter in the Philippines.

Our Foreign Language Assistant showed us the most important aspects of that celebration so the students could notice the differences and similarities with the way we enjoy Easter.

It was interesting to learn about that tradition!

As you already know, we could learn about Slovenian timetables.

Slovenian students asked us some interesting questions about our school and about our interests and we also sent them our questions. They replied really fast so we are happy the communication is being so interesting!
