CUBISM AND CREATIVITY HAVING FUN!

In Art class, James talked about Picasso and cubism.

After that, he encouraged 2nd graders to make a collage inspired by geometrical shapes, characteristic feature of cubism.

The topic was the sea... and our children made all kind of creatures that live there :)

This is the presentation that James prepared to explain the activity.

"Amar o mar" is our school topic this year.

We decided to use a cardboard and a brown leaf to paint a picture of a lovely fish under the sea.

I loved all the creations!

It´s time for chestnuts!! And pumpkins, of course! In English and Art we prepared many activities related to Magosto and Halloween.

One of them was drawing the sea into chestnut shapes. 4th graders are very creative!

Little children had fun making their funny chestnut puppets, too.

And they loved the cute witches and bats made with toilet paper tubes.

Some days later, James finally arrived to our school!

All the children were very excited! They gave him a really warm welcome.

James is so sweet as well and he gave us very good vibes.

As you know, this year, the topic for our school project is "Amar o mar". It´s a beautiful topic to know some important painters and pictures, make many crafts and create art projects related to it.

In Art class we wanted to make some crafts with WOLVES , recycling materials ( newspapers, magazines,...) and using Autumn leaves.

After watching Rishabh´s presentation about India, we decided to make a mural with the most representative things in this country. Sixth Graders were working on it.

In Arts class, Rishabh decided to draw the Taj Mahal with this group of children. They followed his instructions and drew this Wonder of the World, working perspective.

Here is the tutorial video that helped them with this activity.

1st and 3rd Graders made a bengala tiger and drew a lotus flower from India.

Hi everyone!

This school year we have a new conversation assistant. His name is Rishabh and he comes from New Delhi, in India. We are going to learn lots of things about this country!!

We have prepared a big mural to welcome him with the hands of all our students saying "hello".

We are having fun asking him many questions and he is telling us many information and curiosities about his country.

India is fantastic!!

He prepared a wonderful presentation about India.

He talked about traditions, celebrations, food, symbols, monuments, animals...and looooots of things!!!
