This year we had a nice and motivating activity for Peace Day celebration. Children from each group ( 4th, 5th and 6th grade) worked together decorating their peace symbols with our language assistant´s help.
- 4th level students decided to start making a newspaper collage. Then, while some of them were painting the dried collage, the rest of the group searched for the letters that would compose the words peace, paz, love, amor to stick on the symbol.
- 5th level children made a recipe: Ingredients for peace . They coloured the words in English and Galician to make a collage:
freedom- liberdade respect- respecto
amability- amabilidade trust- confianza
help- axuda smile- sorrisa
love- amor patience- paciencia
- 6th grade students read the instructions in English for making a dove in origami paper. With some help, they made lots of birds with different colours and sizes for their peace symbol.
