We've been learning a lot about Vincent Van Gogh in Arts and Crafts recently. We found out he was born in Netherlands but lived in France too. He had two brothers and three sisters. He died very young at 37 years old. 

Estivemos aprendendo moitas cousas de Vincent Van Gogh en Arts and Crafts ultimamente. Descubrimos que naceu en Holanda pero tamén viviu en Francia. Tivo dous irmáns e tres irmás. Morreu moi novo, con 37 anos.

We looked at some of his most famous paintings: The Potato Eaters, Starry Night, Cafe Terrace at Night, The Sunflowers, Bedroom in Arles...

Estudiamos algúns dos seus cadros maís famosos: Os comedores de patacas, Noite estrelada, Terraza dun café pola noite, Os xirasois, A habitación de Arles...

Finally, we painted our own bedroom and presented it to our mates.

 Por último, pintamos a nosa propiahabitación e presentámola aos compañeiros.

Our school has always promoted a healthy diet. That's why most of our students follow a calendar of varied and healthy snacks to bring to class and from time to time we organise events to enphasize the importance of determined products. A few weeks ago, it was fruit. Now it is canned food and sandwiches in collaboration with Conservas Cortizo and "Ponlle as pilas ao teu bocata" program.

O noso cole sempre promoveu unha alimentación saudable. Por iso a maioría dos nosos alumnos/as seguen un calendario de merendas variadas e saudables para traer á escola e de vez en cando organizamos eventos para recalcar a importancia de determinados productos. Hai unhas semanas foi a froita. Agora son as conservas e os bocadillos en colaboración con Conservas Cortizo e co programa "Ponlle as pilas ao teu bocata".

We prepared a sandwich each day of the week following different recipes. In English we participated too. It was fun naming the ingredients in English and... eating the sandwich at the end.

Preparamos un bocadillo cada día da semana seguindo diferentes receitas. En inglés tamén participamos. Foi moi divertido nomear os ingredientes en inglés e... comer o bocadillo ao final.

O CRA DE RIANXO PARTICIPA NA CAMPAÑA DE APOIO AO PROGRAMA DE ACOLLEMENTO TEMPORAL DE CRIANZAS REFUXIADAS SAHARAUÍS " VACACIÓNS EN PAZ" PROMOVIDO POLA ONG SOLIDARIEDADE GALEGA CO POBO SAHARAUÍ.

A Quintáns tamén chegou abril, mes dos libros, e mentres traballamos no estupendo encargo que nos fixo Daniel da creación de un libro sobre Manuel María, chegou xa o 23 de abril, día mundial do libro. Na aula de primaria pensamos en como podiamos celebralo e cun lote de imaxinación decidimos facer unha película. Así como o oídes! Unha película adicada ós libros que tanto apreciamos e que tanto nos ensinan.

Asi pois, fixemos que nesta montaxe non faltase de nada. Un plató con decorado, escribimos un guión co que tiñamos que dicir, maquillaxe, perruquería e por suposto...luces, cámara e ACCIÓN!

NO CRA DE RIANXO CELEBRAMOS ESTE MES QUE GOSTA TANTO DOS LIBROS FACENDO A NOSA PROPIA EDICIÓN DE " OS SOÑOS NA GAIOLA",  DO POETA MANUEL MARÍA.
