Schools can’t turn a blind eye on what’s going on in the world: we all must raise our voices against injustice, hatred and Human Rights violations. Last week, an outrageous event took place in the USA; an African American man was killed just because of the color of his skin, and this is not a particular event, but rather a systemic problem that affects the lives of many in America and throughout the world.

Defending other people’s freedom and rights (needless to say the right to life is the most essential) is also defending ourselves, because we create a net of mutual support and help in case someone, someday, dares to threaten us for whatever reason. That’s why, from this tiny corner of the globe called Vila de Cruces, we say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH; ALL LIVES MATTER. #blackoutweek
